For several years now, I have been asked for my recipes and for tips on cooking. I am not a chef - as in  I was never trained in any culinary school. I am a cook though and love to prepare foods from scratch.

After the birth of my twins I was faced with a new challenge - food allergies. Just after birth, they both reacted to dairy and then one reacted to soy also.  Because of this, we withheld all of the top 8 allergens until after they were a year old. My daughter who originally had the worst reactions now is allergy free while my son continues to react to dairy and egg.

In trying to feed my family a healthy diet that met their varied needs, I began adapting some favorite recipes for allergies and for my husband’s elevated cholesterol more recently.
